# Storage

The storage of watches is one of the most important aspects at ZwapX, which is why we have chosen the Geneva Free Ports. You will find various explanations about watch storage on this page.

### Where are the watches stored ?

We store the watches in two different warehouses. For watches coming from abroad, we store them in a customs-free zone at the Geneva Free Ports. For watches originating in Switzerland, we store them in a bunker converted into a vault with security equivalent to that of the Geneva Free Ports.

### What is the Geneva Free Ports ?

The Geneva Free Ports, also known as 'Port Franc de Genève,' is a free trade zone located in Geneva, Switzerland. It is a highly secure warehouse where goods, including art, luxury watches, fine wines, and other valuable items, can be stored duty-free and tax-free until they are imported or exported. This area is renowned for its security, discretion, and easy access to international markets, making it a popular choice for storing high-value assets. It is often used by collectors, investors, and businesses to securely and efficiently preserve their assets.

### Is it possible for my watch to be lost or no longer linked to my token?

No, access to these storage areas is highly limited and monitored. When your watch enters our storage zones, it is taken care of by a watchmaker. Once the watch has passed various checkpoints, we assign it a number linked to the token ID that was created. The watch is then stored in a safe with a RFID tag that allows us to locate its position when it needs to be retrieved for shipment to its owner in the event of a 'Claim.'

However, even though it is highly unlikely, if a watch were to be lost, we would reimburse the customer for the market value of the watch in the secondary market. Our warehouses are insured, so we can fully insure each watch present.

### Do I have to cover the storage costs for my watch ?

No, there are no storage fees charged. It's a complimentary service for customers who tokenize their watches.
